The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. Psalm 18:2

Upon this rock I will build my church. Matthew 16:18

Our Group’s Purpose:
We desire to grow closer to Christ.  We accept and look forward to being stretched spiritually in order to deepen our relationship with Christ.

We desire to be a source of encouragement to one another in the area of missions and outreach.  We long to have boldness with sensitivity as we witness to others in our families, our church, circles of friends and work/community.

Our Covenant:

  • We agree with the covenant of confidentiality.  Anything that is shared within our small group remains in our small group.

  • We agree with the covenant of authenticity.  We want to avoid “Sunday school answers” and to try to ask honest questions and be real about our victories and struggles.

  • We agree with the covenant of open-mindedness.  We agree to avoid judging one another.  We will look at the plank in our own eyes before picking at the speck in our brothers’ and sisters’ eyes.

  • We agree with the covenant of love.  We recognize that love involves commitment and choice.  We choose to love one another and our church body even when we are challenged to do so.

  • We agree with the covenant of encouragement.  We will encourage one another to live a truly Christian life as we speak the truth in love.

  • We agree with the covenant of prayer.  We agree to consistently keep one another in prayer as best we can.

  • We agree with the covenant of inclusivity.  We welcome every culture and nationality into our group and agree to avoid using exclusive words or phrases.

  • We agree with the covenant of availability.  We agree to come to the small groups meetings at St. Luke’s for the duration of small groups training on Sundays between 5-7 p.m. and will call or email the facilitator of the group if we cannot make it.

Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus, that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 15:5-6
