Youth Group Trip to Chudleigh's Apple Farm
September 26, 2009
The Youth Group spent a beautiful sunny day together at Chudleigh's Apple Farm in Milton followed by a buffet lunch at Frankie Tomatto's. Upon arrival to Chudleigh's Apple Farm the youth were given an opportunity to taste test more than half a dozen different kinds of apples ranging from Gala, Wealthy and of course the very sweet Honeycrisp. Then it was off on a wagon ride to the orchards where each group split up according to the kinds of apples they preferred to pick (and of course, further tasting needed to take place). Following another wagon ride, the youth visited the petting zoo as well went on 20 foot slides. Finally, the day concluded with a buffet lunch at Frankie Tomatto's where the youth heard a short word about the feast of the cross. The day was very joyful from beginning to end and gave the youth as well as the counsellors an opportunity for fellowship, to get to know each other better, as well as to welcome new members. May our Lord bless our youth and guide all their steps.

Congregation Boat Cruise
September 7, 2009

The congregation embarked on a beautiful cruise in Lake Ontario on September 7, 2009 (Labour Day Monday). The day started with celebrating the Divine Liturgy and then the participants proceeded to Harbour Front where they boarded the boat. The cruise began by having lunch and watching the amazing acrobatic Canadian International Air Show which hovered from above the boat and continued for over an hour. The group then participated in several games, Bible trivia, scripture reading, and a spiritual meditation. The participants also had a chance to socialize, have fellowship, and to welcome new members. God granted us great weather which added to the joy of that day. We pray that the Lord would bless every activity for the glory of His holy name.

Many resolutions were agreed u on to kindle the spirit of evangelism in our congregation which include personal growth for preparation, witnessing in our community and among acquaintances, ministry of invitation, and a possible oversees mission trip to Africa. Small Group Leadership Training Course
March 1 – May 3, 2009
Small Group Ministry has become a landmark of our Church. It is our vision that our Church does not only become a church with Small Groups but a church of Small Groups. Our first Leaders training course last year resulted in the formation of seven groups that meet either weekly of biweekly. This year, through God’s grace, we have 27 participants who are attending the training course. We are praying that this initiative will result in the birth of more leaders who will be able to minister the Word of God in truth. We are pleased this year to receive many guests from sister churches who will be taking this initiative into their parishes. We thank all the leaders who are sparing no effort for the success of this valuable ministry. May the Word of the Lord continue to grow and multiply in this church and in every church. More photos
